(Doris Justis and Sean McGhee) will celebrate their 30th Anniversary in May 2014.  Doris is planning something to celebrate but will not be able to announce details for awhile!  They were in Maine in May with Dave Rowe at his annual celebration to honor his dad, Tom, of Schooner Fare.  Noted for their close vocal harmonies and guitars backing their original songs and original interpretations of the best folk/acoustic songwriters, they have shared the stage with a "who's who" of folk such as Tom Paxton, Nanci Griffith, the Chad Mitchell Trio, Noel Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Bill Danoff, Jon Carroll, Schooner Fare, Christine Lavin, the Limeliters and the list goes on.  They have been the "houseband" for Music Americana and WFMA since 1984 and continue that role by performing at the Second Sunday El Golfo Showcase from time to time.

repertoire ranges from romance to satire and from riveting emotional issues to self-deprecating silliness.  He sings about the real world in songs of: love, humor, childhood, friendship, marriage, parenthood, blended families, justice, environmental issues, and other contemporary topics.  O’Doherty grew up in a musical family.  He learned to sing and play the piano, banjo, and guitar at an early age.  In high school, sang in folk and acoustic rock groups with his brother Liam Tomas O’Doherty and friends.  Soon he was writing his own songs and, in college, performed at many campus coffeehouses in the Middle Atlantic states, and later, in the clubs of Greenwich Village, California, and New England.  He has opened for such singers as Christine Lavin, Cosy Sheriden, Noel Paul Stookey, Cheryl Wheeler, and many others.

Blend a powerful singer, crisp acoustic guitar player and a heartfelt observer of the world and you have singer-songwriter,  Her “indie-folk-pop style” (Leicasterbangs, UK) reflects an infusion of many influences including great jazz artists, such as Ella Fitzgerald, to contemporary influences of John Hiatt, Shawn Colvin and CSNY.  The resulting blend~her own voice mingling wit, a smoky sweetness and thoughtful reverie to her songwriting and performance.
