Tribute to Tom Paxton

The World Folk Music Association honored folk performer and songwriter, with a special lifetime tribute and concert on Saturday, May 3, 2008. The 7 PM event was held at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus, Alexandria, VA. A sell-out crowd gathered to honor the man who has given us so many wonderful songs, including Rambling Boy, The Last Thing on my Mind, Bottle of Wine, The Bravest, and many many more.

In addition to live on-stage performances, a large television screen was utilized to present performers unable to attend but wanting to participate in the tribute, including Nanci Griffith, Tom Rush, Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen, The Kennedys, Schooner Fare and others.\
