David Bailey and Douglas Ebert have been making music and writing songs together since the summer of 1995. But it wasn't until David was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in the summer of 1996 that they really became focused on their work together. Soon, they had over 50 songs to their credit. Things have been moving rather rapidly in recent months, traveling all over the United States performing in coffeehouses, benefit concerts - even singing the National Anthem at a Pittsburgh Pirates game. They received a standing ovation at a recent Birchmere appearance. They've come a long way since the summer of 1996 and as the name says - and as many have come to believe - it's Not by Chance.
