Suzanne Michele

Picture of Suzanne Michele

Based in Northern Virginia, Suzanne Michele has performed at popular acoustic music concert venues throughout the Washington, D.C. area, including the Folklore Society of Greater Washington's annual mini-fest, Falls Church City Earthday Festival, Open Door Coffeehouse, Iota Songwriter Showcase, and Borders Books and Music, past Music Americana" showcases and the WFMA Elderfolk program.

Suzanne uses lyrics to create sketches of the world around her. Whether soft and soulful or funky and fun, the words reflect an insight that gives her music an added depth.

She received considerable recognition after the release of her first album Something to Say, which showcases Suzanne' s vocals and songwriting ability, as well as the talents of several area musicians. It has been described by The Washington Post as having "reflective charm and fundamental optimism...alternately wise and whimsical." Her music was played on folk radio shows from coast to coast. After a break to pursue some other lifetime goals, Suzanne is getting ready to concentrate on music once more and is in preproduction for her second collection. Suzanne continues to view the world through the eyes of memorable characters and colorful situations. She says her music is evolving and she can't wait to find out what it has in store for her next.
